The Black Pearl (1977)
The Black Pearl:
The premise of this movie is about a man who is a pearl dealer and makes his son a partner. They go on a quest for the Pearl of Heaven. In amongst tales there is a Giant Manta who claims to reside in a lagoon where the Pearl is kept. The father dies, the son encounters the Manta then returns the pearl to a museum. This is probably one of those movie that I would not of seen but if it would have had a bigger budget it could have been cool. Giant Manta, come on! The soundtrack is very eerie and has a lot of chorus of indian singing in it. Very smooth and somber for a soundtrack. There are a lot of guitars in this and it just is kind of soothing to listen to. Wouldn't recommend the movie, but the soundtrack isn't bad.
Here is a sample of the music from ITunes that you can buy.
