Do androids dream of electric sheep? Phillip K. Dick explained it well in his book that the movie Blade Runner is based upon. Is it similar to the book? In a word, No. The book is very different from Ridley Scott's vision of the future with a film noir touch to everything. We get Harrison Ford, Rudger Hauer, and Sean Young. This vision of the future brought many sci-fi fans together to enjoy an experience that many hadn't seen and probably wouldn't be repeated. The score is very different from other peices of music. It definately has an other worldly feel. Also it has the classic detective feel as well. Things are very different in this movie but also people keep hoping that there will be a sequel. I enjoy this score for what it is and Vangelis does a great job. Here is the Amazon link to the Score. You also get the digital version along with the physical CD.
